I'm just talking about a guy I've met a couple of times... thing is this is what always happens. I never meet guys I like. When I do, I see them a time or two, think things are going well, and then for no reason at all they just disappear. I don't get to experience good or bad relationships because the relationship never gets off the ground to begin with.

Hoping this is different... but not optimistic.

yeah, like sarah said. you really have to show interest somehow. Although i can't really say much for myself as i've never actually APPROACHED a guy. I've always been the coward and let the guy approach me. In those instances, i know that they indeed like me. lol

Yeah me neither. I never approach them first. So when a guy I actually like approaches me, it feels like the stars are finally aligning! Except then they lose interest, and I wonder what horrible part of myself I revealed that chased them away. =(

Sometimes I think between the difficulty of dating and the difficulty of finding a satisfying job, it would be better to just pack up and join a convent. No men, a variety of vocational choices, and a social safety net up through retirement... why isn't this a more popular option??
