I spent invasion day at a very nice garden sitting under the shade of some rather old and impressive trees, drinking a rather heavy chardonnay, watching kids ride mini ponies and others play croquet. It was rather delightful. After that we came back home and went to sleep, then woke up and watched some Prison Break. Slightly more intense, but

Sounds like a lovely day! Yeah, I didn't really get a lot of "Pan" out of the faun, either. I kept waiting for him to do something particularly tricky since he was supposed to be Pan and then... he didn't. I have to admit, though... really visual movies with subtitles leave me pretty overwhelmed. I'm left all, *read* *look* *read* *look* But it was worth it :)

I think all the time I spend watching subtitled anime has made me sort of read them subconsciously... almost like I'm actually hearing it in English. I don't tend to miss much. I guess it comes with practise. When I started watching anime I was always pausing it so I could read all the subtitles... especially if they were talking fast.

What a shame that they didn't translate the intent of Faun not Pan. I'm hoping to see it but not too keen cos of the squeemy bits.
