Sticky cherryjuice slithers down the cuts, shining glass marbles that melt on contact. I got a bit hung-up on that line trying to figure out if it was literal or metaphorical. I could see cherryjuice being some weird quirk of the killer, but it was the "glass marbles that melt" that keyed me into it was a figurative phrase
