Last year, i had a great time at the  National Dog Walk 2007 where i did my first ever frisbee demo (can you believe S was actually pregnant with Baby T when we were doing all those back vaults?!). This year, there were fun activities and agility trials held during the NDW but i wasn't involved because the event spans the entire day from 9am-5pm ( ( Read more... )

HEHEHEHEHEH! *giggles giggles*

He's my dog's trainer. How? You want him to help you train Piglet? He does personal training at home too, y'know!!!

Hi Chester, may I ask where do you normally go for grooming? And do you have any idea how long would it take your coat to grow back to its full length if you were to shave it? :D

OMG, you're not thinking of shaving me while i'm sleeping, are you?!?!

Anyway, funny i've had to answer many grooming questions these couple of weeks when the actual fact is i don't get groomed professionally very often, sad to say!!!

BUT when i do get groomed, i usually go to Fur and Away (see: http://www.furnaway.com/). They pick me up from my home, send me back, and do a good job on my coat in between! :) Not sure how long it'd take for my coat to grow full length after a total shave...i think it'd take at least 8 mths to a year!!!

Nah you look gorgeous with your fur.

It's like this. My momma was thinking of shaving me clean to let new fur grow before bring me for a studio shoot for my birthday next jan! I can't wait for it and I'm super excited and looking forward to that day to arrive. But I would agree to that only if my coat looks magnificent by then. Otherwise I will NEVERRRRRRRR wanna go shave off my precious fur. How? ):

Who are u btw? Do i know you in real life? :)

To be honest, i wouldn't allow anyone to shave me....UNLESS i have very bad skin problem or have totally messy, matted fur. Shaving can permanently damage hair follicles and can cause patchy fur growth depending on the condition of your coat and skin!!! Being furless can expose our skin to the merciless UV rays too!!

When i go for grooming, my human gets the groomer to remove my undercoat, give me a bath, and finally blow dry (GRRR! Hate that!)....and i'm much cooler (in every sense of the word)! My top coat (the guard hair) is left alone and this protects me from the nasty sun! Double coated dogs like us BC only need so little to look THAT good! :)))

So yeah, i'd say NO SHAVE (but that's only my unprofessional opinion)! :)))
