I was loading a game of Civ3 today when the picture on my screen started flickering and changing size. I hit the monitor on the side, which is usually the cure-all for monitor problems. It didn't fix it. So I hit it a few more times. No dice. Then I saw smoke coming out of the vents at the top and heard a crackling noise. Yup, my monitor
