The only nitpicky thing I felt leaving the movie was that I wanted more biodiversity in the species. I thought it would have been pretty rad if the horses on the plains or the banshees of the ocean differed, even slightly, from the kind they had in the jungle.

Call me crazy, I know. It really didn't bother me as far as the movie went, I suppose, but my inner geek was just crying for it.

I totally agree with that, actually. I wish the horse things weren't so clearly horse silhouetted with extra legs. Did they really need that fake neck ridge to make them look like Greek horses?

I think they likely mo-capped some real horses so they had to keep the joints similar? that'd explain some of it.

HAHAHAHA YESSSS

I saw this lj cut and was like "I GOTTA WAIT UNTIL I SEE IT TO EVEN THINK ABOUT CLICKING INSIDE!"

I just got back from it maybe 10 mins ago and I agree with EVERYTHING! It was all so well smashed together it hurt, everything inside this movie worked for the context of the movie. There was enough hard science and then goofy Hollywood science for it to be believable.

I laughed and got teary eyed and got angry and was legitimately invested in all of the characters, cliched as they were. Siguorney stole the show for me, but that ending was so great, SO EGAER for them sequels!!!

Don't go onto the TVTropes page. There is just the most dumbtarded Edit War going on. No, the Na'vi bonding with their not!Horses is not "Mind Rape", troper. Sheesh.
