i decided not to focus on all of the destruction in new orleans, and rather the amazing work that HOPE is doing and how much i love collective lifestyle for my trip in general/these pictures. if you want to see the destruction pictures, go back to the photo entry i made about new orleans back in march.

and there are lots of cool co-ops everywhere, the bay area is a great resource for that. grocery store co-ops, bike co-ops are amazing, etc...

i'm sad i didn't get to be a part of that. although i'm such a puss i feel like i wouldn't survive two days there (or at least not without everyone making fun of me and my dependence on AC and washing machines.) it looks like it was a lot of fun... you're lucky, i guess, because i can understand how it totally couldve sucked (even if you were helping people).
