[She doesn't really know who else to turn to for advice, so she's giving England a call. Her voice sounds odd. Almost strained.]

[She thinks for a moment. How to word this....?]

If..... If you found out that someone you care about had been threatened and... and hurt.... but the person who hurt them was stronger than you...

What would you do?

Smash their jaw until they can't talk anymore and beat their head into a bloody pulp. Maybe use a knife, scare them up a bit, slash around their face. Good reminder. Elbow their nose until it breaks, that sort of bit.

But I don't know why you're bringing that up. Don't try to distract me, and just tell me what's the matter.

Wow... That's... a little extreme...

[But it is pretty much the same advice Jecht told her. Fight dirty and don't let up. Hmmm....]

I am telling you what's the matter. Someone I care about was hurt. But the people that hurt him are stronger than me. I'm not sure how I can beat them....

[And here's coach, leaning up against another nearby tree, watching with his arms crossed.]

"Hell of a kick. You learned my signature shot and everything."

[She stops and lets the ball roll away, watching it as it goes.]

Thanks....

[From the way her shoulders are slumped it's obvious that she's less happy about that than she should be.]

[Goes over to retrieve the ball, tossing it back to her.]

"...So what's eatin' you this time? Boyfriend trouble again?"

[She's silent for a moment. When she finally speaks up, her voice is very quiet.]

Do you know why he wasn't at the game?

[She doesn't wait for a response, but her voice grows tighter as she struggles to keep a lid on her frustrations.]

He wasn't there because those two jerks were busy beating on him for no Goddamn reason.
