Yr in 'Sconsin!!!
FUN!

How do you like colelge so far? Has Somethingoranother Mercer been bloing his trumpet or trombone or tuba or whatever?

Apparently, haiku's in English are sort of impossible, because real haikus are based on some sort of Japanese linguistic concept that only roughly translates into a syllable in English. But haikus are still pretty rad. Once I heard a haiku that ended "Get off my lawn."

I wonder if you heard that from me, Spencer. In any case, they are called onji if you were at all curious. And one of the accepted transliterations of haiku into English is just a three line poem following the basic general form. short line, long line, short line. Although it's challenging and fun to try to fit it into exactly seventeen syllables.

I don't see no wedding ring, poppin' cherries all night long.
