For the past week or so, I’ve been going through my old cassette tapes of my music I did back in the 80’s. Listening to these tapes I was struck by how little my voice has changed (I guess that could be a bad thing) and by for lack of a better word, how little my musical vision has changed (I guess that too could be a bad thing). "...we can't sell this." gggrrrrr.... if they can't put a label on it...so small minded of them.

For a moment I thought of Lenny Kravitz...probably not what you were thinking of --but when he first came out they gave his such shit about how retro he was. Now he so fucking mainstream. Never know....

On these tapes, I was coming across punk rock songs, followed by Prince like instrumentals, followed by brit-pop type songs, followed by country weepers
