Over the weekend, I was sitting with my mom (who's Japanese), watching the US destroy Japan in softball. Well, the announcer was talking about the Japanese pitcher saying that she relied on her "rise ball" to get hitters out. My mom turned to me and exclaimed, "Why they calling her rice ball? They are winning, no need to make fun!" I turned to her
