The lovely leia131 has told me that I ought to do this. So I have.

What do you call it?

1. A body of water, smaller than a river, contained within relatively narrow banks:
Stream

1. A body of water, smaller than a river, contained within relatively narrow banks:
Stream, or a brook if it is small and cute and in your backyard

Couch, fancy ones are sofas.

7. The covered area outside a house where people sit in the evening:
Covered ones are porches. It they don't have covers, they are decks.

8. Carbonated, sweetened, non-alcoholic beverages:
Soda

9. A flat, round breakfast food served with syrup:
Pancake

10. A long sandwich designed to be a whole meal in itself:
Sub. Kinda. I called the kind with salami and peppers and that sort of thing "an italian". And any other meat was that kind of sandwich on a torpedo roll. But I understood and responded to sub a lot.

11. The piece of clothing worn by men at the beach:
Swim trunks or if they are French Canadian and immodest, Speedos

Point first. Sometimes I eat the edges to keep up with the cheesy part, I don't like my ratio of cheese to crust to be too extreme at the end.

18. What's it called when private citizens put up signs and sell their used stuff?
Yard sale. Preferably said with a very strong accent.

19. What's the evening meal?
Supper. Dinner is what you eat on weekends at about 2 or 3. Or what you have on Thanksgiving.

20. The thing under a house where the furnace and perhaps a rec room are?
