I'd like to see Sylvia and Milton revived. I had some relatives (now deceased) with those names. They were born in the 1910 to 1920 era.
Now Christabel and Lysander just seem foofy.
How did Gideon get on your list of oddities? It just looks like an ordinary Biblical standard to me. Mark Twain remarked at how lucky it is that the short and easy to pronounce scriptural names are the ones that we still use. He pointed out that there could have been lots of little Nebuchadnezzar's running around.
Christabel - maybe Mercy - maybe Sylvia - no Clare - no (this is a really common name in the UK) Louisa - no Rose - no (I plan to call my kid this, it's my gran's name) Miriam - no Helena - no
Julian - they might tease him for being camp but no. Anselm - maybe Crispin - in the UK yes Gideon - no Lysander - maybe - again with the campness Dashiell - no I think it's a super name Cassian - no Florian (I think I know the answer to this one) Milton (this one too)

Hell, if I met a 7-year-old Crispin I'd kick his ass!
Police officer: Why did you beat up that child, sir?
Me: Officer, his name is Crispin.
Police officer: I see your point. OK, you're free to go.
