He's totally right. She's not a great writer. She's not even a good one. And he's Mr. Hit or Miss, but still, he did write The Shining and It, which are both straight-up masterpieces of literary genre work.

It just deeply bothers me that so many women, young and old, are unironically glorifying two such screwed-up (and badly depicted) characters and the more-than-borderline-disturbing co-dependent relationship they have.
