Round 12: Sign Ups
Several key aspects of sign ups this round have been modified due to the nature of game play in Round 12. Changes have been highlighted in red, and it is suggested that before signing up--using only the form provided--potential participants read all the guidelines below the cut. - the Butler
ROUND 12 SPECIFIC RULES
+ You must be signed up in order to submit icons and take part in the challenge.
+ You must also be both a watcher and member of the community.
+ All icons must be newly made for this challenge, and must be made by you. They must also adhere to LiveJournal standards (under 40KB, 100x100 pixels or less).
+ You may use any of the allowed media as well as any stock, textures, brushes, or effects that you desire.
+ Submissions must be kept secret until voting for each Challenge has finished for the entire round. Please do not post your icons anywhere other than in the screened submission post until the overall winners are announced in order to preserve the anonymity of the game.
+ To sign up, simply reply to this post with your user name please reply to this post (comments will be screened) with the following form:
alias choice #1: "title" "color"
alias choice #2 "title" "color"
You must sign up with the above form in order to retain an alias and participate in the round. Aliases are made up of a title and a color (i.e. Miss Scarlet, Colonel Mustard, etc.). Aliases from the original board game are prohibited as they are already being used in-game.
You may sign-up at any time during the Sign-Up or Submission time period. Once you have signed up, your alias will be added to this spreadsheet.
VOTING
+ Individual challenge voting will maintain voting in a similar fashion to previous rounds. You will vote for your 3 favorite icons (including reasons) and must provide constructive criticism for at least 2 icons.
+ The "Special Category" voting will only be for 'Best Interpretation' this round, asking participants to vote for the icon which has the best interpretation of the theme for each challenge.
+ There will also be set voting this round. After all twelve individual challenges are finished, voting for each of the four sets of icons participants will be required to make will go up. Voting will be in poll format and last for 24 hours. Winners will receive points that will be added to their overall points totals.
PROMOTION
+ During the sign up period, members who are signed up may earn up to two CLUES; these clues will help participants deduce the correct randomized combination of themes that will reveal this round's killer. Those who guess correctly (by creating one of their four icon sets with the correct themes) will receive FIVE BONUS POINTS that will be added to their final points tally.
+ You can earn these clues by promoting the community in a public post anywhere on Live Journal, Tumblr or Twitter.
+ To gain both clues, you must promote to two separate communities.
+ The promotion must contain a link to this community, and you can find pre-made promotion banners in our profile.
+ Once you have promoted, please reply to this post with a link to your promotion in order to obtain your clues.
