[This icon really kept true to the spirit of the theme. This icon doesn't remind me of your previous one at all. A completely different crop, a completely different feel. However, you still managed to keep the icon very much in your style as an icon maker. And it's just a really gorgeous icon from crop to color. Lovely work!]

TABLE KEY:
+++ = 1st Place Vote
++ = 2nd Place Vote
+ = 3rd Place Vote | Beginning of a new comment.

Note: Votes are not weighted in this round. Meaning a 1st, 2nd or 3rd vote will only give you 1 point when tallying the votes. [Tiebreaker procedure:]Except in the case of a tie - then the icon with the most 1st place votes will be given first. This is upheld in all cases unless 1) the amount of votes is equal in all cases (i.e. 3 first place, 2 second place, and 1 third place) or 2) breaking the tie would result in an icon with enough first place votes to place being knocked out of a placing spot (i.e a third place tie between two icons). In these cases, ties will stand as is in order to maintain a sense of fairness for all participants.

ICON VOTES

setentpetPLACING VOTES
++ The crop here is fantastic, I think it was a good choice to focus on Dany's determined expression. The textures used complement the image, especially the blood/paint drips one, it's subtle, but adds a lot to the mood of the icon. My only suggestion would be to lower the opacity of the light texture in the upper left corner, it makes that area a bit washed out.
++ Love the simplicity of this icon - the texture use is beautiful and makes the icon very unique.
+ Fascinating use of light and texture here, you'd think the bright part would draw attention away from Daenerys' face but somehow it really works for me. Love the sepia/reddish tones as well.
+ The cropping, coloring and lightning make a strong and nice icon.
+ I really like the crop that you've chosen and the painted look of the icon overall.

BEST INTERPRETATION
+ This icon seems to take a complete 180 from the original (or the cap) and portrays the maker's style nicely.

CONSTRUCTIVE VOTES
+ the crop on this icon is great, and the colors are really cool! The shadows, however, cause some of her features to get lost and her outline (cheek/ears) seem a little blurry. Some sharpening should do the trick around these blurry areas
+ I like the grungy look and the bloody coloring. I think the contrast between her very dark eyes and the very light upper left corner is too strong, though. It hides her face and draws the eye onto her ear. If I hadn't known this was Daenerys, I would not have recognized her. Maybe even out the different shades a bit to make her more recognizable again? Or choose a slightly different crop so her white hair is visible.

ADDITIONAL VOTES
+ Icon would look much better without this little red flowing blood. It disctracts a bit from the screencap and would look much better without it.
+ I love the colouring. It's such a warm brick red and even though the icon is monotone, the colouring provides a lot of interest. I also really like the texture use. The dripping paint effect gives the icon some drama.

CONSTRUCTIVE VOTES
+ I love the colouring of the icon. Blue and green is such a good combo and I like how rich the colouring looks. However, I think that the subject got too dark. Masking away the colouring on her, or even painting over her with white/peach/a colour of your choice would help her look a little brighter against the background.
+ It's a little bit dark on my screen, especially Hazel, and her face is getting a bit lost in the background. You could use selective colouring to take out the blue tones on her skin, or play with light gradients so that she stands out a bit more.

ADDITIONAL VOTES
+ Icon seems to be too dark, it's hard to see the content of icon. The light in right upper corner could be bigger, to give more lights and visibility to the icon.
+ the coloring is very rich and dark, and the cyans are beautiful. The icon seems a little sharp though, especially around where her shorts end, or the pack beside her
+ I really like the coloring of this icon - dark and vibrant, but natural; it fits the screencap you used perfectly. However, I think the above-knees crop might not have been the best choice here - it's a good, solid crop that looks flattering on most screencaps (this one included - there's really nothing wrong with the crop on the technical level), but it cuts away one of the most charming/attractive things about the screencap, i.e. the character's crossed legs. Without that part, it's not immediately obvious that it's a shot from above, which is a shame, because that's what makes this screencap interesting. Making the crop a bit wider, or rotating the image to arrange the character diagonally, would make this icon a lot more eye-catching.
+ This icon is very dark on my monitor. I would suggest duplicating your base and setting it to Screen. This would bring out the subject much more clearly. Experiment with the opacity until you find one you like. Too much will wash out the features in her clothing. Overall, I like the dreamy quality of the crop and understated composition.
+ I really like the colors in this icon! It is a bit dark on my monitor, so perhaps using screen layers, gradient maps, or just layer masks on layers that make darks darker would help bring in some nice rich colors instead of mostly blacks. You have some great dark greens already that go with the blues and I would love to see more of those.

CONSTRUCTIVE VOTES
+ The coloring in this icon is great, the subtle vintage vibe suits the screencap and the show itself. However, the crop is rather unflattering - the lack of space on the edges of the icon makes the characters look boxed in, and despite the outdoorsy scene, the icon feels a bit cramped. I'd suggest adding more negative space, either by making the crop wider and extending the background on the top with a stock texture or the stamp tool, or moving the character closer together. Also, some parts of the icon look a bit too sharp - it's particularly visible on the highlights, a pass with the blur brush could help here.
+ I really like the lighting and colouring of the icon. It's very bright and pretty. However, I think the brightness of the icon has affected the sharpness of the icon. The outlines of both of the subjects have jagged edges and the details of their faces are blurred as well. If you tend to sharpen your icon as a whole, then doing it on a new layer means that you can mask away areas that are over-sharp. I also think when brightening the icon, masking away the bright parts over their face, hair, hands etc would have helped make their features stand out better.
+ Nancy's face is a bit too bright and becomes washed out, and the same goes for Jonathan. I think this cap might work out better with a different, closer crop, as here it's difficult to know where to focus.
+ The natural coloring is really nice, but I think a farther crop would've look better in terms of composition. Also, I'd suggesst to use the blur tool to smooth everything a bit since it looks way too sharpen on my monitor.
+ The highlights around the characters - although in the original cap - are very distracting and I think that removing the background and the highlights would've been better.
+ I love a nice simple crop but this icon has too much light use, which causes their faces to look oversharpened and bright. Adding in some shadows or lowering the lighting you used would have made the icon less sharp and it would have made their facial details stand out more. Instead of a brightness layer, if that is what you used, gradients work well with not lighting the wholel icon up and could have worked better here.
+ I like the coloring on this but there is a couple of changes I think should be tweaked a bit to finish it off. First there's an issue with sharpness, the edges around them are very sharp and jagged but their faces are not sharpened enough. I suggest toning it down and bringing more attention to their faces. Secondly the crop is rather awkward, Johnathan's sleeve is cut off awkwardly and takes up most of the frame and Nancy is just kind of 'there'. I suggest cropping it a little farther out so there's a better balance of space.

ADDITIONAL VOTES
+ + While the coloring is really nice and bright, sharpening is too big, especially on the edges of charachets. It should be smoothed out, at the same time contrast wouldn't bother som much.
+ The crop is nice and the coloring gives it a very vintage feel, but the subjects seem a little sharp around the edges, and his hands seem a little pixelated
+ I liked your first crop much better. At this size, it is barely visible that she is holding a gun, and I'm left at a bit of a loss about what this icon wants to tell me. It's possible that oversharpening is muddling the details, too. My first instinct is to choose a closer crop.
+ The brights in this icon look very washed out on my screen, and the high contrast means there's a lot of parts that look oversharp as well. There's a lot of contrast that exists in this cap (the field vs. the subjects; the field vs. the trees) and I think you could tone down the contrast layers a bit so the brights don't get too bright and the darks don't get too dark.

starkwarsPLACING VOTES
+++ The textures added here are just incredible! Her hair looks like from the outer space, greatly contrasting with her natural one. Coloring also gives unnatural yet really comforting look.
+++ This is so amazing! I love the painted hair and the general composition is just perfect. The colors are the perfect complement to the composition.
+++ Again, the hair is so amazing! I love all the details that you've captured. I also really like the texture that you've picked and I like the circle that is surrounding her face
++ This icon is very pretty, but I think the reds in her face are a bit too bright against the blues/pinks/purples of the rest of the icon. Since the color of her skin already contrasts with what you're doing with her hair, I think you could tone down the reds a bit to make the colors mesh more.
+ I'm a bit disappointed how similar this icon looks to your first one, both in terms of effects/texture and crop. But taken by itself, it is gorgeous. Great coloring, a beautiful texture in the background, nice depth, and cool sparkle on her hair.

BEST INTERPRETATION
+ No reason provided.

CONSTRUCTIVE VOTES
+ Great colouring and texture use! However, on my monitor the icon seems to be a bit oversharpened (over the hair) and too blurry in comparison in different places (the face).

ADDITIONAL VOTES
+ the colors on this icon are really pretty, and the galaxy look is great. The definition between Dany's hair and her skin however seems really harsh and abrupt, making the lines look sharp. Using the smudge tool with a feather brush at about 30% strength over the lines will help make them appear softer
+ I would have probably included this icon in my top 3, if I hadn't seen the version with slightly different muted coloring. Don't get me wrong - it's a great icon, and I really love the stars/sparkles in her hair and the composition is very well executed, but the other coloring just fits this icon so much better, while the vibrant colors expose some issues this icon has. The biggest one is that her hair looks very plastic-y, due to the very smooth edge of the layer(s) you used to recolor it. Adding a few wispy strands around her forehead, neck and cheeks, like there are on the original screepcap, would help it look more realistic. Also, the orange-pink hue of her skin slightly clashes with the pink/purple tones in the background; lowering the saturation of her skin or shifting the color of the background to colder pinks could help with that.
+ Such a creative icon! I love the colours, and how you incorporated the textures into her hair. Absolutely beautiful!
+ I really like your texture use here. The texture effect in her hair makes it seem like she's got hair that holds the secrets to the galaxy! Love the text use use in the background as well, it gives a painting like feel to this icon.

dixonPLACING VOTES
+++ Brilliant composition! I love how the colouring draws the eye to Beth's face and wound, surrounded by all the lovely green tones. Great use of texture as well. I love it!
+++ The coloring and texture of this icon come together for a very nice effect. The one thing that bugs me is that the texture is a bit off-center and so some of the spiky bits are right up against the left edge of the icon while the right side has a lot more space.
+++ All the different shades of green are very pretty and the painting of the hair really flows well.
++ I love the greens in this icon - it really makes this version of the cap look very unique. I also like the texture that you've chosen. However, I think that if the character was more in the center and hiding the middle of the texture (or if the texture was aligned in the center), it would look better but that is a personal choice.
+ The muted-yet-vibrant coloring in this icon is great - I wouldn't have guessed that the sea green of her hair could go this well with the peach pink of her skin, but but it really does. I love the simple composition too, making it slightly off-center was a good choice that made the icon look more interesting.
+ Love the coloring and textures!

BEST INTERPRETATION
None.

CONSTRUCTIVE VOTES
+ This icon is beautiful (the coloring, the hair painting is so well done), I just think it would have worked better if the character was well centered.

ADDITIONAL VOTES
+ I like the coloring and texture usage, and the painting effect on the hair, it gives light effect on the icon.
+ the texture use of this icon is great and the negative space works really well. However, the greens don't exactly match each other the background is a yellow-green while Beth's hair/shirt are more a blue-green) and the result is a little glaring. Changing the background to a cyan color would help all the elements blend well together
+ I love the texture use and the negative space. It makes the halo effect work very well. I also like the painted hair detail! I have just one small suggestion though ( and I think this could be chalked down to personal likes) but I think it would have been cool if the halo in the background were centered. The way my eye perceives it, the left side of the icon looks a little more filled in than the right side, which makes me think there is an imbalance.

tinnnyPLACING VOTES
++ Great use of black and white, and I really love your composition. The subject's top fades perfectly into your texture. Nice use of text as well! Great work.

BEST INTERPRETATION
None.

CONSTRUCTIVE VOTES
+ As the composition is nice, contrast could be a bit bigger, to show more input in the icon. Also in some of the places text seems to be a bit too blurry, it could be helped with Smart Sharpen function.
+ The texture use is great, especially how it's integrated into both the background and foreground. He looks a little on the blurry side, maybe sharpening a bit would help. Right now his features are a little hard to distinguish.

ADDITIONAL VOTES
+ the blenidng between the subject and the background is really grungey and it's executed rather well. The text is also ledgeble even though most of "check" is missing.
+ The composition here is interesting - I particularly like the the use of paintbrush texture/brush as a cropping device - but at the same time, the elements don't really complement each other. The typography and the chessboard texture work with each other, as they're both blocky and geometrical, but don't seem to be in any way related to the paint stroke, which is less defined shape and more on the 'artsy' side. A way to combine them both in one icon could be to make one of them less visible - for example, by using the chessboard pattern on the text rather than on the entire icon, so that it's still present in the icon, but not the main texture focus.
+ I really love the texture use on the icon and the text. Even though the text is half-hidden, the texture make its easy to identify the text!
+ Very clever use of the checkerboard texture with your text. Since you chose to go monochrome with this icon, though, I think it would benefit from a bit more lighting work. Right now it looks fairly flat and I think taking a black brush behind your cutout subject, blurring, and setting to soft light might help separate him from the background. I also would love to see some more shadows on his face because it's very bright compared to the rest of the icon and doesn't quite look like it fits in with the darkness in that texture on the left side of the icon. So either painting over HIM with a dark brush + blur + soft light or using some gradient layers set to screen or soft light could help make him look like he belonged with the background.

ADDITIONAL VOTES
+ Really nice coloring and soft textures gives glowy effect, althouth the characters could be just a bit lighter to make them more appealing.
+ the crop and coloring on this icon are really sweet; the colors in the background are still pastel/candy colored, but the subjects are just dark enough to stay defined
+ Overall, I really like the coloring here - you did a great job of bringing out the colors of the screencap without going overboard and making it look unnatural. However, it would have been a good idea to mask some of the layers, as the middle of the icon is a bit too dark - Jeff's arm looks very orange, and you can barely see any details in that area.
+ Nice change of colour from the other icon! And the blue tones really suits this version (not that I didn't like the pink one, on the contrary); I love how the yellows in her hair are brought out as well. Cool interpretation!
+ On my monitor, this icon is pretty dark. Your coloring almost completely obscures the objects in their hands, and their faces get a pinkish tone. The head between them also distracts from the couple. I suggest removing him and giving them a brighter coloring.
+ I commented on the fact that your icon from last round looked a little flat, and I really love the depth of color & lighting you've done in this version. Great job!
+ I have not seen this show but I think that the table and the man in the background are very distracting and erasing those and just leaving the main people would've been cool. Also, just as a suggestion for a future icon, you could've done a close crop of the woman's face and emphasized her curls in her hair to revamp the cap.

alisea_dreamPLACING VOTES
++ the crop on this is absolutely fantastic! The warm coloring helps give the icon a cozy, homey feel, too. The sharpening is also wonderful!
+ The coloring is very subtle but crop gives all the effect, it's really nice placed and icon looks so natural.
+ The crop really brings focus to her lips and the icon is well-lit and the natural coloring suits the subject.

BEST INTERPRETATION
None.

CONSTRUCTIVE VOTES
+ I really like how you went for a completely different crop on this icon than your first one. The crop just doesn't really work for me. My eye keeps being drawn towards the bag under her eye. Moving the crop down a single pixel so her eyes are completely gone on both sides and smoothing out that bag would probably work wonders for the icon.
+ The icon is on the dark side, upping the contrast might give the subject more definition. It also seems blurrier than the previous icon you had made, so it might benefit from a bit more sharpening. Nice crop.
+ This crop is a bit awkward since it shows none of Amy's eyes and not even a lot of her hair - I think zooming out a bit would work nicely, to get in maybe half her eyes + more hair as a border, just so there's a bit more variation in the icon. If you wanted to keep the same crop, I think you could benefit from a bit more lighting work so there's some sort of variation here. The colors are all same-y from the red hair to warm skin tones to red scarf, so something to shape the icon & draw the eye to a certain part of it would help out a lot.

ADDITIONAL VOTES
+ The crop is absolutely gorgeous and I really love colouring. Understated but pretty!
+ Very nice close crop! I do think this icon could do with a bit more depth and contrast so that it pops out a bit more, maybe with some layers (a black&white gradient map for instance) on soft screen with a low opacity.
+ The softness of this icon is perfect, I am forever in awe of people who can achieve that effect without making the icon too blurry. I like the coloring too, but I think it could use a little something to make this icon pop - like a touch more contrast, or a light texture to make it more colorful; although nice and well-executed, the natural coloring doesn't really stand out.

gribouillePLACING VOTES

CONSTRUCTIVE VOTES
+ the spiral notebook texture is really creative, but the coloring is a bit dull and his features seem a bit blurry. With a bright coloring, the definition would be a bit clearer and less washed out
+ I really like what you did on the hair since it's cutted on the original cap, so great work on that! But the notebook effect it's not really working with the rest of the icon since it washes it out.
+ The idea behind this icon is interesting - making the screencap look like a drawing in an old sketchbook is very creative, and it could look really great if a few technical issues were fixed. Using an exclusion layer to create a dated/vintage look was not the best choice here - the blue/yellow coloring does not go well with the screencap, and doesn't really fit the notebook texture. I'd suggest a more sepia toned coloring, which can be easily achieved with brown screen and soft light layers. Also, the image is a bit blurry, so a bit of sharpening would not go amiss here.
+ Creative use of texture but the subject could use more light and contrast and perhaps some more vibrancy to make him stand out more from the texture, because as it is he kinds of blends into it. The notebook texture, while creative, doesn't really add to the overall composition of the icon. Perhaps just using the notepaper part of the texture and leaving out the rings would have worked better.

ADDITIONAL VOTES
+ Texture used here is not really matching the icon or the theme of movie; maker could choose more 'outspaced'. Also coloring is a bit too dark and bigger contrast could be used.
+ I love the texture use. It's definitely a unique choice and it adds a lot of interest to the icon. I would however recommend that the background be a different colour. Right how, the colour blends into his costume a little, so like you missed a spot in the cutout. A different colour, like a bright red or blue would add a lovely bit of contrast to the icon!
+ I like the idea and the crop. Note that high contrast will always draw the eye, and in this icon the highest contrast is in the ring binder texture at the top. It is a darker black than the subject. To fix this, you could lower the contrast of the texture, making it more grey, and/or increase the contrast on his face. The nicest and least lossy way to do this is to add a black-white Gradient Map adjustment layer on Soft Light (PS only).
+ I love the muted coloring in this piece- it's very cool. I do not understand the spiral notebook texture, though - that & the kind of boring greys behind it distract me from the subject of the icon. Looking at your icon, I'm thinking you may have used a paper/notebook texture to help achieve the coloring you got, and if that's the case, maybe just stretching it so the spirals aren't on the canvas or finding a bigger paper texture (there are lots of these on tumblr!) that was the same color but sans spirals could help.

adriftingseaPLACING VOTES
+++ This is absolutely beautiful. If your first icon was bold and complex, this one is downplayed and muted. I love the sepia colouring and how you made the subject standout, without the use of colour. I also love the starry texture. It's delicate and light and frames the subject beautifully. Well done!
+++ I really like how different it is from the first icon. The combination of low-contrast monochrome orange to high-contrast black&white works incredibly well here.
+++ The composition is amazing. The background coloring are suiting the b&w character. The use of the stars texture is also really interesting.
+++ Great use of coloring and textures
++ The coloring on this is gorgeous. The orange gives it a vintage look, along with the slight bit of white at the bottom and it adds even more to the vintage feel with the black and white of the subject.

BEST INTERPRETATION
+ No reason provided.
+ No reason provided.
+ I think you interpreted the theme really well. This icon, while equally gorgeous as the first one is so dramatically different!
+ The point of this challenge was to take the same image and make a new icon, and I think this icon did it best. Despite a similar crop and a farly simple composition, it manages to both be completely different than the previous one, and at the same time not look like a deliberate attempt to make a totally different icon just for the sake of the challenge.
+ Your Bespoke icon is radically different from the Textiles one, both in tone and in composition. I really love how you handled the colouring, by keeping the subject in black and white, it's really well thought out.
+ You did an amazing job of making a new, fresh icon from the same cap! Both icons don't look similar at all and it was hard for me to tell that both people were the same, which in my opinion, was really nailing the theme

CONSTRUCTIVE VOTES
+ As I really love the composition and texture used here and coloring, the main character could be brighter, as now puotstands too much from the background.
+ The texture use behind the subject seems great! The only suggestion I would have is to make the subject stand out more - try adding a different layer mask, a shadow or a brush to differentiate the background from the subject.
+ I love the creativity in this icon, but I do think the subject could benefit from being a bit lighter. Right now she doesn't really stand out from the background because it's all brighter than her, so I want to look at the car, etc. instead - if you gave her a little bit more brightness & contrast and maybe even a bit of an outline or a shadow, it would do a much better job of making my eye focus on her than on what's going on behind her.

ADDITIONAL VOTES
+ Great muted coloring and the texture is fun.

lady_kingsleyPLACING VOTES
+++ The typography in the icon is gorgeous! The colouring makes the icon stand out and makes a perfect backgroud for the subject.
++ Great lighting and the text adds a lot, the variation of two fonts and the way you have split the word control gives the icon complexity.
+ I love the bright colors in this, and the light strip in the background is a nice touch. I do think that separated text (where you have "yourself" in between the lines of con-trol) should be avoided when possible because it makes the text harder to read/understand. I also feel this icon could do without the spiky yellow lines coming from the bottom, because the rest of the piece is very clean and shiny and bright and they look more on the grunge/painty side.

BEST INTERPRETATION
+ You have totally different moods between this icon and your last and it's great!

CONSTRUCTIVE VOTES
+ Overall, I think the composition is interesting. The only thing that bugs me is that we tend not to look at the character that much because he is too muted, if you have done a more vivid coloring on him as you did for the background it would make the icon much stronger.
+ I like the text placement here and the lighting texture but I don't feel the colors really fit the subject. I suggest playing around with the colors more and go towards the darker or muted part of the spectrum. I would also play with more font faces as the current ones are hard to read and don't go well together.

ADDITIONAL VOTES
+ the typography is really nice as is the lighting on this icon. However, the bright colors of the background don't match the red of the subject well. Using a mask to select his red clothes, you could then use a color fill layer with a new color on hue or color, or use a hue/saturation layer to change the red to a more complimenting color
+ Separately, the two planes of the icon - the foreground and the background - are great. The image has a nice contrast going on, the coloring is flattering, and the cut out is very smooth; the background has a lovely vibrant color scheme and subtle light textures that make it look a bit glossy. However, there is little to no connection between the two, and as a result, the icon looks rather awkward. I'd suggest going for strong jewel tones here, rather than pastels - they would complement the dramatic pose of the character and help create a more cohesive whole.
+ Love the colouring, the negative space and the text! I would however suggest keeping 'control' together. It took me a while to figure out that the word was control. If you still want it to be broken into two (which I understand because I frames the yourself really well), I would recommend using a bolder sans-serif font, like Intro or Code, or even Arial Black.
+ Love the brightness and colours here! Nice composition too, I'm just not sure about the bright line on the left (towards the middle), it makes the last part of the text difficult to read and is a bit distracting.
+ I really like the background and text but I think it would be really cool to have magneto's suit to be more neon and maybe a really vibrant orange to blend in with the background.
+ I really like the coloring and the composition in this icon. The pink part of the text doesn't really fit in. It breaks out of it too much, confusing the eye. To be honest, I think it would look better without the "yourself". The yellow text in the background works great by itself. Without the pink distraction, the subject is at the center again, and his expressive gesture can take center stage.

emielsPLACING VOTES
+++ great re-use of the cap! I don't know much about Black Orphan, but I do know enough to know about all the clones and this shattered glass texture is a really cool idea to incorperate everyone. The different colored scenes/backgrounds give depth to the icon as well
+++ The composition is great, the texture really serves well to break up the different characters, as does having a separate coloring for each. The variation of crops also adds visual interest.
++ I love the rainbow colors not in exact rainbow sequence. The differently sized caps you used add to the splintered effect of the texture.
++ The composition is very smart and so well executed. Love everything about it.
++ The whole composition of the icon is impressive. The broken glass texture is also a really nice choice with the colors.
++ I really like how you used multiple images and colors!
+ I love the composition of the icon! I think the cracked mirror was a great way to illustrate that though these women look the same, they are all different individuals, with different 'cracks' so to speak. Also, I love the colouring. Yay for rainbows!

BEST INTERPRETATION
+ Very different from the first one and so beautiful both of them
+ This icon is so different from the others, it's easy to see you have taken a drastically different approach on this one.
+ Very different use of the screencap than in the first icon, and very different coloring and composition techniques, too.
+ you completely revamped the original cap, and with the help of a few other caps, the icon feels fresh. The colors are great and work well together, no hue ever clashing with another. Fantastic cropping of the cap within the mask, as well
+ Although original icon/screencap is hard to find, this is a plus in this case, it's showing how maker could achive 2 completely different looks. Coloring is really natural, all the people shown in the icon are shown in a perfect manner.

CONSTRUCTIVE VOTES
+ Although I think that your idea was really creative, I think the execution wasn't the best. Obviously this is a personal view but I feel that the multiple screen caps in one icon is very crowded and some of the faces are barely noticeable. Also, on my screen, the icon looks a little blurry (but I think that's just my screen :) and the colors could be more vibrant.

ADDITIONAL VOTES
+ Really, really cool composition! And it suits the show so well! Great way to interpret the theme as well, making a totally different icon from your first one.
+ I love the text use in the icon! The contrast between the fonts is great and I love how the colours of the text tie in with the colours of the icon!
+ It is a little sharp, especially Rachel and Allison but the composition is great and it works well with the broken/shattered effect and all the different colors.

++ This is such a soft and gorgeous icon! I love the colouring and I think you did a really great job with the lighting as well. I think what I love the best about this icon is the grainy texture. Usually grainy texture gives icons a grungy feel, but I feel like this texture just enhances the soft tenderness of the icon!
+ The muted tones work so well with the crop and general feeling of the icon. The grain effect matches perfectly.

+ Really nice crop and monochrome coloring, but the noise is a bit too big. While cropping the picture (before resizing) could use Reduce Noise function, to decrease the noise pointers in the icon.
+ the crop on this icon is really great! The light is also really good. The icon does seem a little scratchy, but it works with vintage coloring
+ I'm really impressed by how you made two simple, but really different icons from this screencap! The coloring in this one is very good, the muted tones fit the subtle gritty texture well, and the close crop is just right. Overall, I think it's a very solid icon, where everything works together really well. My only suggestion here would be to consider adding some decorative element in the center of the icon - the crop you chose created a perfect space for that, and it would make the icon stand out more.
+ Nice crop, I think you could bring Amy a bit more to the right so that her nose doesn't get cut-off, but it doesn't bother me too much. You could however do with a tad more contrast, especially by making the darker tones darker (maybe using curves for instance?). I do like the grungy feeling of this icon though.
+ The natural coloring is very pretty, but it looks a little grainy.
+ Very plain and simple, but well executed. Nice coloring, good crop and selective sharpening that draws the eye towards her eye.

+++ The typography in this icon totally stole my heart. It takes a lot of skill to make text this big and not overwhelm the icon with it, but you absolutely pulled it off here. The subtle changes in text color and using two fonts add some variation, but don't make the text grab all the focus away from the character, you managed to balance those two elements of the icon really well. I think it was a good choice to forgo other decorations or textures - adding anything more would probably make the icon too cluttered.
++ Text usage here is a masterpiece! Awesome combination of colors, different fonts, their height, etc. Also monochrome look, with outstanding character works really well.
+ the typography on this icon is absolutely fantastic! The two fonts compliment each other wonderfully and the different shades of pink break up the text into little individual bits instead of looking like a big block. The subject also fits in nicely with the text, and the overall pink color looks great
+The typography is very beautiful (and actually understandable!) and fits the background very well.
+ Great use of text. It may be a bit, just a tiny bit, overpowering, but it is really well done and the fonts and color work well together.

+ Cool composition and use of text! The crop is a bit close to your first icon's though, only the background is different, but I still think this is a nice idea. Love the purple tones and choice of font, and it all makes your subject really stand out.
+ The crop and technique looks very similar to your first icon, but I like complex text compositions like that. It gives the impression that she's imprisoned by all that text. The coloring is very good, too. I wish the text had more punch - it doesn't really fit her slightly submissive posture. But the style of the icon is really cool.
+ The use of text is really nice (choice of colors is great too) This icon is really nice, I would just have like to see a different cropping than on your first icon.

Please note that regular tie breaker procedure was upheld for ALL ties in this challenge due to the sheer number of icons tied for third place spot. If you have any further questions about why the ties were handled this way, please let me know.
