Got back on my mountain bike today for the first time proper since coming off it. Since I bounced myself off that roundabout a couple of weeks ago, and despite the fact that as a result of this I've been unable to continue strengthening my core either by riding or by the sets of daily abs exercises I was doing, the lower back pain which has plagued me for the last couple of years has been notable only by it's complete absence.
