Tonight I try mobo #3 from ASUS. The processor on #2 overheating was definitely the cause of the random shutdowns, but memory access died the day after I figured that out and their tech support declared the board dead... again. Most people have great luck with ASUS boards. I do not possess luck. This is not news. :-/

Yeah, the reviews I see are generally quite good.

Maybe you should scrap this build and try overclocking a pentium D 805. :'P If Heidi weren't holding the money, I'd be doing that yesterday. ... but then, if heidi weren't holding the money, I'd have died of trying to sell my blood to 10 different clinics to afford a dual 7900 rig.
