A possible dilemma in the future dawned on me recently and I've been pondering as to how it can be solved:

Suppose that in the rare case I get married one day, how the hell do I train my kid (supposing the rare case that I have one) to be bilingual?

you enlist (read: PAY) your amazingly bilingual cousins and friends to beat teach your kids.

of course, you can start learning the way yourself. what else are kung-fu drama serials and karaoke good for? learning chinee!!

That's why you gotta marry someone whose mandarin is superior to yours. Problem solved. As long as you keep using Chinese, the kids will incorporate Mandarin into their lives.
