Er...apologies to the person whose comment I realized existed only a day ago--obviously, I haven't quite figured my way around the system yet. Incidentally, anyone know how you make your post a link to the actual post, so you don't spam your friends with, say, a bunch of quiz results or something?

Well, I've calmed down, thought about it, and I think I'll be okay as far as my thesis is concerned--though it might be difficult to convince some of my committee members that I shouldn't do those experiments. If I can get the thrushes flying in the wind tunnel, I think it's worth doing them anyway, just not in the wild. Which involves fewer permits anyway. Most importantly, I actually finished all of the crap I had to do early this week--giving me time to actually start *gasp* writing my proposal/lit review. Tonight, of course, I'll probably just outline things.
I have to buy a new phone. It will be the second phone I've bought in as many weeks. My old one developed a horrible buzz that I finally decided was the fault of the phone, so I went to the campus store (I was feeling lazy) and bought a new one. I couldn't get it to work, so I concluded maybe it was a problem with my line, and e-mailed OIT. They determined that the problem was my new phone didn't work. Hopefully I still have the receipt...
