I have just spent an hour trying to write an update but i can't do it, because there are lots of small things to say but none of which i believe would be of much interest to anyone else, and lots of really really big things that are so urgently important and beg to be expressed yet just can't seem to be adequately put into words -- at least not in ( Read more... )

it's a real pain, but at least i can afford it at the moment.

this summer, if i work full-time again [which i'd better], it's going to cause me absolute hell.

i find that going without sleep for a day or two at a time improves my mood and sharpens my mind, but only in the short term. after 3 or more days without enough sleep i hit a big slump that takes significantly longer to go away so it's just not worth it most of the time.

it is very handy when paper deadlines start approaching, since i only ever start working one day before things are due, two if i'm feeling particularly wise.

HI MATT. yah so i stalked you from utsuperfriends / one of my friends has a hand in its' creation. I can't tell you how many times I've dropped/switched classes. I change classes almost as frequent as underwear. Speaking of which ....
NAKED LAUNDRY DAY is March 30.
One of my friends, (so much more interesting than me btw) is organizing it.
Basically we all go out, get trashed, go to a laundrymat, get in our underwear and pretend to do laundry. It's for some nerve contest. You can talk to her about it here: http://www.myspace.com/tea_for_tina

oh noes, i have been e-stalked. work on monday will now be +1 more awkward.

naked laundry day ... you pretend to do laundry? so what do you -actually- do instead, scrabble ? laundry machine rides ?

more library people on the internets. scary. i have talked to her a bunch of times but i don't think we ever said each others' names. either that or i instantly forgot as i often do. in retrospect it makes sense that you two are friends.

+1 more awkward? I just invited you out to a night of drinking and underwear. That must warrent at least a +5 more awkward. I think both of those suggestions would be welcomed with a warm response from Tina ..,. Laundry Rides! definately.... anything really. It's just a naked laundry day celebration!

tina enters nerve contests, it's generally for that, but it's also an excuse to not be a loser and get out of your house and talk to people. (I hermitize my self 99% of the time - or rather every couple of months my friends guilt me into events like these, and then I usually humiliate myself into another hibernation)

there are a million library communities.

It makes sense we should be friends? hmmm.... now I'm wondering what aspect of Tina's personality that you know

shit, i forgot what was actually in the entry you were commenting on. admitting to a coworker i have no friends = +100 more awkward.

i like the sound of naked laundry day actually, let's just hope i'm in better shape in two weeks because holy shit, winter hibernation really did a number on me, man...

I read this all this afternoon and had a meaningful comment, but I've forgotten it after long hours of eating and gaming. I'll just give a Bill Hicks quote like I always do:

"I tell ya man, I need my sleep. I need about eight hours a day - and about ten at night."

I read this backwards--from bottom to top, and it still made sense.
