I have not been here in several months. I missed you fellows. I have panged for reunion with you, I had more seperation anxiety then Mike Tyson being severed from the divine energy that sustains him

hey, I don't know you, but you posted an entry in the "sarasota" community and I wrote this whole long comment and then when I was done, it said the entry had been deleted.
So here it is:
Question for you guys: What are the main differences between Christian Orthodoxy and Christian Evangelism?
I'd love to talk in depth on this one, but I always think it's annoying when people post long comments, so I'll just say this:
as a Christian myself, there are a lot of things in "Christianity" today (it's current state in the US, at least) that bother me very, very much.
I could act all pissy and tell you all the things I despise about "religious" people or fanatics, who either really mostly think their poo doesn't smell or are insane, and really don't see how they've got it all backwards...Jesus Christ never said anything anywhere in the Bible about holding GOD HATE FAGS signs up at funerals, those people obviously are an embarrassment to Christianity...or that you're better than a non-Christian or ANYONE for that matter simply by
( ... )
Personally, I don't really care for calling myself either, and I don't see Christianity divided into two sections like that. I also don't get my panties in a twist over denominations. My father's a pastor and my family has been involved in ministry for as long as I can remember, we've been in many different churches, probably more than a lot of peoples in their lifetimes combined, so I have my preferences about the way church should be conducted, but that's all strictly personal and I think anyone should worship God in whatever way they choose.
To me, the Word of God is the Word of God, and you just have to be yourself...be real...and tell people about it. Let them know that you believe there is a God, he does love you very, very much

P.S. After reading a few of your entries, and then re-reading my comment, I hope you don't mind all the grammatical errors.
And I did water the whole thing down a bit, because I didn't have any idea who was reading it. After reading some things you wrote though, I now realize I didn't have to, so sorry if it sounds weak.
I could've gone a lot more in-depth and made it sound halfway intelligent I realize
A person who does not know right from wrong is classified as a sociopath. I don’t want to sound flippant, but I agree with modern psychology in treating amorality as a disorder. Even from just a pragmatic and biological point of view, morality is the glue that stabilizes society. Any serious critique against all morality, I feel, has no credibility.
You named many negative causes that you feel social morality causes in society. Without a moral base, it is impossible to see bigotry and oppression as undesirable. In order to establish that oppression is a bad thing, you must first establish that non-oppression, or freedom, is a good thing.
You Don’t sound flaky, but I would say that your logic is full of holes, and that no credible social scientist would ever agree that amorality strengthens any society.
Negative outcomes.* Sorry about that, I just got back from a long trip, and I am getting over being sick. I would say you have your understanding of human nature backwards. Morality is a biological phenomenon that helps human beings organize.
