Sooo ......
Alright, so those of you in Contemp know that we've started the units where each group reads a different book. My group is doing '1984'. I know my dad has two full bookshelfs in the garage, overflowing with books I've never bothered to really look at. He said he thought he might have the book, but refused to help me look [rhymes].
So there I was, faced with flipping through the titles, and ya know what? It's a nerdlet's dream. Seriously, he has everything. Homer to Hawking, Shakespeare to people whose names I can't pronounce. The Life of Pi and The Catcher in the Rye [another rhyme], The Monk and the Riddle to The Tipping Point. Classics. Books that make you think, historical fiction. Engineering, Cosmos, Chemistry, Biology, textbooks and other books on all of those. Dictionaries and books to learn French, Spanish, German, and Swedish [and why can I never find an English dictionary?] as well as books in Hindi. I swear, just thinking about it makes me all melty inside.
Anyway, I made two stacks and took one into my room [the second stack I'll get to when I'm done with the first]. I put them in my closet and some on my shelf. Seriously, I need to finish my Steven Pinker book quickly so I can start on one of those.
You know, I don't think I'll be checking out another teen cliche novel in a while. Seriously, forget the Twilight series. Forget the whole list of books I had planned to read from before [except for one about Serial Killer psychology :P]. FORGET HARRY POTTER. There, I said it!
I am just so happy right now.

So I was listening to something called Vedic Metal the other day. It's an Indian style of metal where they turn Sanskrit prayers into metal songs. It's pretty cool, but it sounds like they're burping into the mic. And Indian guys look weird with long hair because it's curly so it looks like girl hair plus they usually have facial hair ... :/
So yeah, Indian guys should keep hair short. But not too short, long enough to be curly.
Like Mohinder's hair :DD
Speaking of which, did I mention he's getting more and more awesome? But I think they're trying to make him fall in love with Niki. The only good thing about having only 3 episodes left is that it's not likely that he'll fall in love in that time, although I suppose I'd rather him be with Niki than Eden or that one ex of his from when he lived in India. [I don't like her. At. All.]
Duuude, I wanna pic showing Mohinder's shoulders D: He has nice shoulders, especially for an Indian guy. Indian guys tend to have wimpy shoulders cuz they're so skinny. Or maybe that's just in my experience. My experience shows that an Indian guy is either skinny and slightly muscular or at least slightly chubby [most Indian band guys fit here].
Anyway, Vedic metal. Includes Rudra, Motherjane, and Demonic Resurrection.
Indus Creed and Parikrama are other pretty awesome bands.
Especially Sleep and Pretty Child by Indus Creed.
