well,i tend to drop people who seek and crave approval, especially from me, further down the list. not when they ask about their projects or the performance, but more a general kind of "but i'm awesome, right? right?"
but that aside, i do find you an interesting case study, peter.
you seem very familiar to me.
i don't know if this comes from your appearance, your behaviour or your attitude, but you have enough of your own identity that i do want to get to know you better. i think you have the potential grow into a very interesting, confidant individual, one who will work on great things or one who will piss off a lot of people.
the two should not be considered non-mutual.
just avoid the path that could see you as a self centered, egotisitcal prick.
I find you rather interesting as well, Mr fiend.peterchaywardJune 15 2009, 12:49:14 UTC
It was curiosity more than craving. Someone had told me that you didn't like me, which took me by surprise, because I thought we got along okay.
I do hope to work on great things and piss off a lot of people, and will try not to become self-centered or egotistical. Avoiding that path is part of the reason I've come to Canberra - it's very humbling, having no friends, having to start again from nothing. Keeps you pleasant. In Brisbane, I could get away with a lot of jerkitude; down here, I have to actually work for friends, because I have absolutely no status. It's been an interesting journey thus far.
