the internet isn't a series of tubes, it's a series of reality tunnels... i saw myself standing in one, on the platform. the shape was oval and the track was non-existent to my eyes. i heard the wind of my own thoughts rushing towards me... more winds as my ideas ran through all the different tunnels everywhere... through them all

The quote comes from an ideal... you're more likely to achieve provided you have a goal in mind. An image of your goal or ideal will help you along the way when you have choices/decisions to make.

Straying from that ideal that prompts the quote is a reminder that it was wrong/it should not have been done. You feel guilt or you go over that decision in order to re-evaluate and improve.

Feeling guilt over something is one thing. Acting upon those feelings in order to improve is quite another, and it's whether you choose to act upon those feelings that makes all the difference.
