i'm doing a bit of research into venues in brisbane, funnily enough, since the close of 320 and the news of it's most likely conversion into apartments.... i came across this as part of the website for the recently re-opened waterloo hotel"Local history has shown a hotel has been on this site since 1880, a time when there was a massive 117 pubs

Pubs are closing at a ridiculous rate over here as well.

Though a cynic might point out that means now there is only one on ever *second* corner.
