...just in case anyone read or heard about a certain article in the Times recently and was worried at all.

I was never on growth hormone, probably because of late diagnosis.. ravenboo May 17 2005, 16:40:01 UTC
I was not diagnosed until I was 21 years old, although I was born with the lymphedema of both feet. They originally thought I had clubbed feet, but found nothing. How old were most of you when you were diagnosed, and what led to the diagnosis??. I was finally tested because I had never gotten my period, I was taken to the GYN at 16 and was so traumatized I never went back until then. I actually had one period once when I was 18, but then never again until I was diagnosed and went on HRT. (hormone replacement therapy). I am still on HRT and will be until 50 yrs old, but a few years ago it was changed, and I no longer get a period.
