I like thunderstorms. I like the sound of them. I like that they are beautiful and dangerous.

But listening to them makes me sad, somehow.

I lived in an apartment with six or seven other people when I first arrived here. I hated it, and that's why I live where I do now.

Very much. If you promise to return them, I wouldn't mind loaning them to you. The book has a great deal of sentimental value to me.
