"Choke" was a good book.

It's unfortunate that it's been adapted into an "American Pie" piece of shit movie marketed for drunk college date rapists.

I'm PISSED. I didn't even know it was THAT Choke until I watched the preview a second and third time. DISSERVICE.

It's a shame. If only they could have added a sound track with a few good songs by bearded alt\country singers. Then chuck could have had the hipster crowd as well.

I'm surprised they didn't cast Ben Stiller.

That whole slapstick shit is so undeserving of his material. I really don't understand how that's supposed to translate. OH RIGHT, it translates into money, I forgot.

if that screenwriter tries to touch "Survivor" I will kill someone.

Oh, now, they said the same thing about Jurassic Park.

Personally I feel myself more likely to be appalled at the film adaptation of The Time Traveler's Wife, but the previews for Choke make me cringe, too.

It's a movie?

My husband keeps trying to get me to read it. I have yet to do so. It's just sitting on our bookshelf, staring back at me.

Currently, he's forcing me to read Odd Thomas. Have you read that? Every time I open it, I fall asleep. I don't know what's up with that.

Never heard of "Odd Thomas" - I have select books set aside to fall asleep to, but that's not to suggest that they're boring! Just soothing.

You should read Choke. I don't think the movie has been released yet, but the previews are offensive enough. I'm just astounded.

I liked Palahniuk up until "Invisible Monsters."

Something got lost in translation here. I actually looked up the director to see what else he was responsible for, and found "Magnolia," which I thought was GOOD. So what the FUCK HAPPENED HERE. Everytime I turn on the tv and see a movie preview, I'm reminded that I'll never be drunk enough for the AMC.
