[Espio has finally made it into Cherrygrove. And, since he plans on doing nothing but complain endlessly for the entire duration of his time as a Pokemon Trainer, he is currently leaning up against a sign poking his "doowhatsit", writing up a list. Ignoring the Eevee that is currently pawing at his leg while he's at it ( Read more... )

lists, espio is a whining whiner

"These bodies?"

[confused Link hasn't encountered too many of the former non-humans.]

Yeah, you know - the ones we get shoved into? I'm pretty sure I was a lizard before I got here.

It's really best to stop whining about it. Many of us here had our powers stripped as well Though I suppose I should be thankful that the sun and heat have no effect on me as they do you~.

It's not whining. It's venting.

And wow, lucky you. Want some applause?

You should be more appreciative of your pokémon. If you lost your powers, are you sure you don't need protecting? And it sounds like you have a sunburn. If you can find any cold water or ice, you should use it to make your skin feel better.

Just water or ice, huh? Got it.

But really, I don't need my powers to look after myself. Besides, how can I be appreciative of it when it's hurling itself into danger every five seconds?! I feel more like I'm protecting it than the other way around!

It should help temporarily.

Then maybe you should try training it, so that doesn't happen. They're very receptive, but if you just get frustrated and give up then your pokémon will never learn.

These bodies? I take it you're like Kazooie and not normally human then. She bitches all the time too.

And no one except the kids really need protecting, but you're not allowed to fight the animals yourself. Which is stupid. Just learn to control and guide your pet.

You're not allowed? By which I assume you mean illegal? Now, that is stupid. All I wanna do is scare them off a bit so I can get past.

So I take it not everyone was forced to transform? See, normally I'm a chameleon.

No, I mean like go ahead and try it. It doesn't fucking work. I had a fucking fish to start off with, and they don't attack. Trust me, I tried.

Everyone who was not human before they came here got turned human. Kazooie is usually a bird -- a red-crested breegull. And Kovu's usually a lion. So you're not alone in that.

I kinda figured that everyone was transformed. I've never really seen humans before. Guess not, then.

So, fighting them yourself doesn't work, huh?

Well, I suppose at least the Midget actually can almost fight, even if it just wags ts tail and runs into things...
