But really, I don't need my powers to look after myself. Besides, how can I be appreciative of it when it's hurling itself into danger every five seconds?! I feel more like I'm protecting it than the other way around!

Then maybe you should try training it, so that doesn't happen. They're very receptive, but if you just get frustrated and give up then your pokémon will never learn.

And no one except the kids really need protecting, but you're not allowed to fight the animals yourself. Which is stupid. Just learn to control and guide your pet.

Everyone who was not human before they came here got turned human. Kazooie is usually a bird -- a red-crested breegull. And Kovu's usually a lion. So you're not alone in that.
