Just a thought. What if in a post WW2 era Governments and Corporations were totally eco-friendly and green. Do you think the hippies would be happy? I don't. I think they would say its all capitalist propaganda and they're doing it for their own benefit. Not quite. There's no way to be totally eco-friendly and green... With the amount of people on earth and the resources we consume, we'll always be anti-nature.

If the governments and corporations were more green, then the hippies would be even greener. As an example, if we had gotten rid of cars after WW2 and everyone started riding bikes, the hippies would walk because bikes take too many resources to manufacture (rubber for tires, smelting metals, etc.). They'd simply take it to the next level- it's about the lifestyle AND the cause.
