I get your second paragraph. I would be the exact same way (less motivated for a class that met only weekly). Also understand what you mean about language - just because it's France doesn't mean they're going to have the best academic French; if anything, hell, they could even be biased and lackluster.

If you really truly are coming back, I guess, just don't be thinking about it all the time :) Plan for it and then live like you're not; would hate to think of you missing out on anything. What if the very last week you spend ends up being amazing? You should enjoy it :)

I was wondering if you would ask that...I know we have enough room, physically, in our house...we even have a tiny little single which no one is using. I'd have to ask my house pres if that's even possible, because there was some deal at the start of the year where we had to tell the house people who was going to be in it, blah blah blah... so we'll see. I wouldn't count on it, but i'll try.
