Serena would never have denied that she'd enjoyed being little again, but only for a brief while. Waking up as herself again had been more than a slight relief. As pleased as she was the candy had stuck around, it was just one more day in her life that she would be content to pretend had never happened

"Really? Because last time I checked, Jenny was telling me I hadn't actually grown much between ten and seventeen," Dan put down the book he was glancing through, not really captivated by it, anyway. "That might just be her usual sort of sisterly teasing, I never can tell."

"And you, I mean, I never pictured you being quite so small. Except in pictures, of course. Seeing it was an entirely different matter. Still have any urges to go for a swing?"

Serena bit her lip, smiling as she leaned back against the bookshelf. "Only if someone wanted to push me," she said, and the coy tone was entirely beyond her control, more habit than anything else. "I guess I wasn't really in a place to judge anyone's height, was I? I'm so, so glad to be back like this again." She'd never before been through one of the island's freaky things firsthand, so she guessed she was just lucky it had lasted only a day and not a whole weekend like when Blair had been a man.

"Me too. Have I mentioned how weird it was to have an older sister?" It was a sentiment that Serena probably shared, seeing as Eric had towered over her as well. "It's a good thing it only lasted a day, or I might have seen a bit more revenge for the teasing she had to endure as a kid."

"Somehow I doubt Jenny was the only one getting teased back then." Serena grinned, then shook her head. "I always knew Eric was more mature than me, but having him actually be older is more than I can handle for very long. Speaking of, how is Jenny? I heard she stayed with my brother a while - is everything okay? I thought the new place was almost done."
