Not because he's a morning person by any stretch of imagination, but because it's the time of the day where everything is quiet and the air around them not sizzling with heat. It's the time of the day where everything is subdued, the colours washed out and less harsh. It's the time of the day when Steve is relaxed and the lines on his forehead have been kissed away by sleep

I love the use of names and the whole thing is so descriptive.

Steve doesn't like any time of the day, if his constant grumbling is to be believed.

That made me laugh and the last line is just beautiful. The whole thing in fact ♥
