You totally rock!! anonymous December 7 2004, 20:27:05 UTC
Awww Clare---
You do not suck at life!! I think you are great at science...and you are going to be an awesome scientist! A B is better than a C, though A's are nice. However, we both know ASC B's are really like A's.
Anyway, I hope you won't let finals get you too down. I hate finals and believe them to be evil beyond comprehension, but you can be Super Clare and win the Battle of the Grades! Love ya!!

Thank you, Gwen!
You always seem to know ways to help me feel better-- no matter what. It's been a rough semester for everyone, I think.
Yes, finals are evil. So, so very evil.
I'd like to be a good scientist someday. It makes me feel good to know you have faith in me for that.

I'll see you tomorrow afternoon.

Thanks again.

p.s.-- I love the superhero analogy. *smiles*

Feeling crappy might have something to do with listening to Dashboard Confessional ;)

hehe, maybe. :P

Though I love that song. It reminds me of the movie it was in... definitely a happy thought.

Well, this is true.
But I maintain that in principle listening to Dashboard Confessional heightens angst and unhappiness.

it's called the sophomore slump and your advisor will understand-- or ought to. i'm sure you'll do fine, babe, you can't be doing as badly as i am.

Sophomore Slump? turquoisegirl December 8 2004, 06:37:13 UTC
Wow. I had never heard of this phenomenon.
I wasn't worried about my advisor not understanding, Gibson knows I'm a perfectionist and he knows how hard I've been working this semester. I'm sure he'll be understanding no matter what grades I get-- save dropping out of school and getting straight "I"s. :P
I'm sure I'll do "fine," too-- I just wanted so much more for (and from) myself...

trust me, I understand... since I've been sick all semester, I'm going to end up with all D's. *sigh* just imagine how I'm dealing with that

Remind me to keep all pointy objects away from you next time I see you. :P
j/k
The atrium in the science building is a common site to joke about, especially in relation to Bowden's lab "quizzes."
