you just might need to tighten the chain... don't ask me how. it's something with taking out a link or two...

oh yikes- this hurts to think about. I guess I should figure this out myself- but it makes my brain hurt.

just read that you did take it for a tune-up... def go back and yell, fixing a chain that skips is part of the job.

check all the links for movement, when my bike was doing this it was because a couple were totally frozen.

but mostly i'd take the bike back to the store and be like WTF! i paid you for a TUNEUP, i'd imagine that testing the chain and gears would be included?

lame. seriously lame.

yeah- I need to go back. I'm a little bit afraid that they're going to say "whatever" and I'm going to get so incredibly pissed (not just at them for doing a half-assed job checking the bike out- but in general because my bike doesn't work) that I'll yell and scream and tear up the whole bike shop.

or else, maybe they'll just fix the problem.

there's a lot of bike fixing info on the internet, but I'm never sure how to follow the advice. i hope you have better luck.

I would definitely take it back to the bike shop and demand some better service.

that's the clearest explanation I've seen. I'm not sure I could do it- but it's good to know that it's a fixable problem.
