Summary: Five (300+w) drabbles about the different milestones in the relationship between Jongwoon and Kyuhyun.

(i)
-Beginnings-
Kyuhyun peers nervously into the room that he is supposed to live in. Only a beam of light from the hallway gives Kyuhyun a rough idea of what is inside - he can only see the edge of a bed. From the depth of the room, a deep husky voice suddenly speaks. Kyuhyun's heart feels funny, but he convinces himself that it's because he's nervous due to joining a new group rather than the restless that accompanies the fact that a voice is seemingly coming out from nowhere. He recalls the name of the bandmate who he's supposed to share the room with. Yesung. The main vocal of Super Junior. He finds it weird that Yesung seems to be sitting the dark doing nothing. Kyuhyun has no idea what Yesung looks like, so at the moment all he knows is what his future roommate/bandmate sounds like. It's a little creepy that he needs to share a room with an eccentric character like him. Kyuhyun is usually good at judging people at first sight, but the problem is that he hasn't seen Yesung yet. He is a bit apprehensive about needing to live with Yesung. He shakes his head and shrugs off his worries - he's the new maknae, he probably should do what everyone tells him to. He really doesn't want to get on the bad side of people just yet. Kyuhyun timidly calls out into the darkness of the room.
"Do you mind if I turn on the lights hyung? I need to unpack and if it's dark…"
"It's okay, you can turn on the lights."
Kyuhyun fumbles around until his hand finally hits the light-switch. He flicks on the light, and he recoils as his eyes adjust to the brightness. He looks inside to see the face of his new roommate. He swears his heart stops, and proceeds to feel funny as he takes in the features of man in front of him.
HIs roommate, Yesung, grins at him and reaches his hand out. The next thing Kyuhyun knows is that his future roommate is touching his face.
"Hi, I'm Yesung, but please call me Jongwoon. You have a pretty philtrum."

(ii)
-Middles-
Jongwoon stares at the man in his arms in relief. Sungmin had finally fallen asleep after coming to Jongwoon for help with his insomnia. How ironic that they both keep insisting that their relationship is awkward on TV and radio programs when Jongwoon is one of Sungmin's favorite hyungs. Jongwoon smiles as he strokes Sungmin's hair soothingly, but suddenly he realizes that the light from the hallway had become blocked. He looks up to the doorway, and sees the maknae staring at the sleeping figure in his arms.
"Kyuhyun?"
Jongwoon's eyes adjust to the dark, and he can just about make out the frown on Kyuhyun's face.
"Kyu-ah, what's wrong?"
The maknae stays silent, still taking in the scene before him. Jongwoon is worried - Kyuhyun is never this quiet. Suddenly Kyuhyun walks forward, and yanks Sungmin up. Sungmin grumbles, and Kyuhyun ushers him out of the room. Jongwoon stands up angrily, and is about to lecture Kyuhyun about respecting his hyungs and taking care of the members that are extremely fatigued when Kyuhyun forcefully kisses Jongwoon. Jongwoon is in shock, but soon his own anger makes him kiss back roughly. Blood is drawn.
Jongwoon glares at Kyuhyun, still not understanding why Kyuhyun is acting like a spoilt child.
"Kyuhyun, what the fuck was that?"
"You're mine. My boyfriend. How the fuck do you think I feel when I see Sungmin lying in your arms and you stroking his hair lovingly? You're my boyfriend."
Jongwoon shakes his head in disbelief and starts to laugh. Kyuhyun glowers at Jongwoon, and is about to stomp off to his own room before he was pulled back and pinned onto the bed by Jongwoon.
"You insolent brat. I think it's time that I teach you about respect. And get it right - I'm not yours. You're mine."

(iii)
-Endings-
Kyuhyun sits next to Jongwoon on the park bench outside the hospital. It's autumn, Jongwoon's favorite season. Leaves of red, yellow and brown fall around them gently, carried by the wind. Kyuhyun chokes back a sob, and rests his head on Jongwoon's shoulder. Jongwoon soothes Kyuhyun, who is crying, and gently strokes his hair.
"I can't believe…after all this time…you're leaving me first."
Jongwoon forces a smile onto his face, and tilts Kyuhyun's face up and kisses him on the lips.
"It was inevitable."
Kyuhyun grabs Jongwoon's hand, and interlocks their fingers. He closes his eyes and enjoys the warmth radiating from Jongwoon's body. He wonders how long he has left to enjoy the presence of the love of his life. The doctor had estimated that Jongwoon had 1 month left before the sickness would steal him away from Kyuhyun.
"Listen, Kyu-ah, I'm so thankful I found you this lifetime. It was destined for us to meet and fall in love. Never forget all the memories, all the hardships we've endured through these years, all the ups and downs. I couldn't ask for anything more from God. Falling in love with you and being able to grow old with you was more than enough for me." Jongwoon pauses, takes a deep breath, then continues. "My time has come, we're already in our nineties. I feel extremely blessed that we've already had more than sixty years together. And…I'm sorry if I haven't said "I love you" enough to you. But never forget that I do. Even if I don't say it enough. So let's just enjoy whatever time we have left. The end of our journey together in this lifetime."
Kyuhyun tears up just a little more, and asks Jongwoon to sing for him. His husband happily agrees, and sings their wedding song.
He falls asleep on the park bench to the lull of Jongwoon's voice.

-First-
First kisses are precious. Kyuhyun thinks that his first kiss is supposed to happen with the string instrumental in the background with each move and detail planned. First kisses are supposed to be passionate and romantic and Kyuhyun expects to be swept away by the moment.
Instead, Kyuhyun's first kiss is the opposite of what he expected it to be.
It is the first snowfall of the year, and Jongwoon had dragged Kyuhyun away from his laptop to play in the snow. If it was anyone other than Jongwoon, Kyuhyun would have put up a fight. But Kyuhyun realized that he could never say no to that perfect, flawless face or that perfect, husky baritone voice. It just wasn't possible. Kyuhyun knew.
Jongwoon tackles Kyuhyun, forcing him to lie in the snow. Kyuhyun stares up at the stars, and enjoy the silence that he shares with Jongwoon. Neither of them speak while they make snow angels.
Suddenly, Jongwoon leans over and gently pecks Kyuhyun on the lips. He hovers above Kyuhyun for a moment, and then lies back into the snow, continuing to perfect his snow angel. Kyuhyun turns and looks at Jongwoon, bringing his fingers to his lips. He doubts it had even happened. Jongwoon looks away, and Kyuhyun wonders if it was just his imagination.
"Am I dreaming?" Kyuhyun asks out loud to no one in particular. From the corner of his eye, he sees Jongwoon stiffen for a second, and then lean over again.
"Of course you're not dreaming."
Kyuhyun closes his eyes, thinking that Jongwoon might kiss him again, and this time it'll actually be right - the instrumental, the passion, the feeling that makes his toes curl. He is right - his toes do curl, but for the wrong reasons. He jumps up as Jongwoon runs off laughing, and he attempts to get the snow off his face.
As Kyuhyun runs after Jongwoon, trying to pelt him with snowballs, he decides that although his first kiss with Jongwoon wasn't what he thought it would be, it was still perfect in every way.

(v)
-Last-
It is October 23. Jongwoon can't stop pacing around the apartment as he waits for Kyuhyun to come home. He had sent him on a day of scavenger hunting with the help of all the other Super Junior members. Kyuhyun should be arriving back anytime soon after finally receiving the key to the apartment, what would hopefully become their apartment. Jongwoon starts to have second-doubts about what he was doing. He suddenly hears the key turning in the lock from outside, and quickly sits on the sofa.
Jongwoon hears Kyuhyun venture in carefully, and hears his smooth voice.
"Jongwoonie-hyung?"
"Took you long enough." He looks into Kyuhyun's eyes.
"So…this key…"
"Mhm…" Jongwoon smiles, and tries to mask how nervous he is feeling.
"Are you…asking me to move in with you?"
"Possibly."
Kyuhyun grins and walks over. He leans into Jongwoon and Jongwoon automatically wraps his arms around his boyfriend.
"I can't believe you made me do all that crap just to get this key. It better be easier for us to reach different milestones in our relationship. I don't think I have the energy to go all over Seoul again."
Jongwoon places a chaste kiss on Kyuhyun's forehead and reaches into his pocket.
"Cho Kyuhyun, would…you like to marry me and move in with me?"
Kyuhyun stares dumbfounded at silver ring that Jongwoon is holding out to him. Jongwoon stares at Kyuhyun nervously, hoping and praying that the maknae would accept.
Silence.
"You won't regret this?" Kyuhyun finally whispers into Jongwoon's ear.
"Never."
"If you ever do, I will kill you." Jongwoon laughs as Kyuhyun slides the ring on his ring finger, the only finger that contains a vein that is connected straight to the heart.
It is the last day that Jongwoon ever doubted Kyuhyun's love for him. It is also the last day that Kyuhyun doubted Jongwoon's love for him, too.
But it isn't the last time Jongwoon proposes to Kyuhyun. Every year on October 23, Jongwoon asks Kyuhyun to marry him all over again.
