This could be said about pretty much any body image community or mailing list really: that people who focus on something as superficial as the physical really need a hobby. However, when living in a society that focuses on same, it's kinda difficult to not get sucked into it.

Everyone hates, or is at least unsure, about some part of their body. Breasts, buttocks, stomachs, waists, noses -- whatever. There are communities on LJ for displaying just naked bodyparts, for erotic photography, for big hairy men, for fat women ... this one is about the average sized penis and the people attached to them.

Oh, and by the way, I think you meant "focus," not "focis".

And you're telling us this...because? I mean, what's the point of visiting this community in the first place to tell anyone here that they're 'pathetic' just because the journal is about 'size'?

I'll tell you one thing, this community isn't about size, it's more about saying size doesn't matter.

We live in a society where people says size matters. I'm not just talking about dick size, I'm talking about any size.

In order for you to be beautiful in this society, this is how it goes:

Women have to be skinny, and have good-sized breasts to big-sized breasts, and they have to have perfect skin and hair.

Men have to either be skinny or buff, not fat, and they have to have a big cock because it makes them more 'manly'.

This community is no more shallow than other communities that cater to one thing only. Let's face it, a community dedicated soley to Anime or Melanie Rawn should

You know, I took another peek in the interests list. Both "body image" and self-esteem are there. And then there was the post that she answered -- the revised community promo post -- and the one that lead her here.

Um ... I'm betting that she was just bored, nervous and trying to get a flame war going so that she could keep her mind off things. Immature, but people do it all the time. *shrug*
