Does anyone else ever have really unsatisfying stretches? Where you stretch and stretch until everything hurts, and when you collapse, you feel just like you did before. It's so annoying.
Dentist later. Fear for me. =(

As for the dentist: bah! cowards, the lot of ye. Mind you, I had a dentist who called me "cuddlebunch" and "sweetiepie" - knew me from (and before, even) birth, and kept up with my pet names til I was 17, and he retired. I miss Mr Denning. :*(

I used to have a fantastic dentist in Oz. His crowning achievement was telling my parents at one stage in my life: "Now, if David were a girl, I'd recommend braces, but since he's a boy, his teeth will grown well enough anyway." Which saved me from x hellish years with metal in my mouth.
No. Today, I go in to see the hygienist - i.e to get my teeth brushed and x-rayed.

My orthodontist, on the other hand, was actually Satan's sales representative, Planet: Earth. *shudders* Never have I wanted to kill a man so much. He burnt me, he made my treatment too long, he refused to listen to my complaints that I just could not get the elastic things to work (oh yes, two small rubber bands to remove before every meal, sooooo the height of elegance, folks) and that my gums were in pain permanently, my mouth filled with ulcers too.
No wonder my first kiss wasn't til I was 17. Not only was I hiding in the girls' school library trying not to feel spotty, mingy and with a gob full of metal, whilst my peers were learning how to put Wonderbras and lip gloss to good use, but if I had actually had had a bloke in front of me, desiring to Snog Me, he'd probably have needed welding equipment to manage it, there was so much man-made stuff in my oral cavity, to put it nicely.

However, instead, i have no enamel on my teeth. Which means that soon (my dentist keeps writing to me yelling at me for putting it off), i have to go and have major reconstructive work done to them. I have to go twice. And be sedated. And i'm scared. So i'm not going to.
