Well, I just got back from the concert. It was amazing! ^^ I talked to my friend Sarah at school today, and she ended up being able to go, which was awesome. I'm so happy she could go with us, she's really cool. The line outside the concert hall went by really fast, so that was good. We sat up in the balcony again, like last time. The opening band was called The Graduate, and they were pretty good.
After a lot of waiting, Simple Plan finally came out. Their concert was so fun and energetic. They had a lot of crowd interaction and let us sing with them on some of their songs. A few songs in, they said that Pierre, the lead singer, had a cold and was suffering from laryngitis, so they didn't know how long they'd be able to play. From then on, they started taking song requests since they knew they probably wouldn't play all the songs that they had planned.
This is the set list as well as I can remember it:
Generation
Take My Hand
Shut Up
Jump
When I'm Gone
Addicted
Your Love Is A Lie
No Love
I'd Do Anything
Perfect
They played a lot of really good songs and some of my favorites. I was really excited and rocked out with them. They did end up cutting the concert short, it was maybe a little under an hour. To make up for it, they announced that they'd be doing an autograph signing for us, which was a neat surprise.
The line for the signing was really long, but it was worth it. They all signed our tickets and I talked to them all a little bit. They were really nice and grateful. I'm so glad I went, live shows are the best thing ever. You sort of get to know a band on a whole different level after you've seen them live. lol, I'm really tired now, but it was way worth it. They weren't nearly as good as Dir en grey, but they were great nonetheless. :)
I also took a couple pictures of the things I got: my signed ticket and a Simple Plan hoodie that I bought before the show started.
