what a positively wonderful sounding day! thanks for sharing.

i wanted to go to the market today, esp. to see if there was some hummus. but i went shopping and out to eat and got some hummus there. along with some cheap finds!

what are the new reads? i am reading the intuitionist but i have yet to get into it. plus, i feel guilty for not reading german. so i am debating on what should keep me company tonight...exciting! ;0)

01. franklin + windston -- an intimate portrait of an epic friendship
by jon meacham about roosevelt + churchill

--- plus ---
books that will either hedge or encourage my ever-increasing wanderlust:

02. it's not about the tapas
by polly evans - her true life bicycle ride across spain

03. almost french -- love + a new life in paris
by sarah turnbull - true stories.

hummus! falafel! tabouli! all terrific -- but i have never been able to successfully make good looking falafel. it always looks nothing like when i get it at café or vendor.

find some good things in the shops?

once i finish my current books, i will check out the intuitionist
i should seriously keep a list. once i get to bookshop i am swayed by the gillions of titles + can never remember what people have been reading or suggesting.

have a happy weekend!

reading about your good morning (a little late. i've been computerless for a few days) made me very happy! i love mornings like that. AND naked juice!

you reminded me that once a few years ago i had to take my mom to the hospital for a planned minor surgery. they told us to sit and wait in the emergency room, and while we were waiting, the hospital had a drill like you were talking about. people kept coming up to us saying "what's wrong? what's wrong?" and i'd say "i'm just waiting for so-and-so doctor for an appointment for my mom" and they were treating me like i was a "victim" and part of my affliction was that i didn't know why i was really there or something. kind of frustrating at the time, but pretty funny now!
