Meirin Elementary School

Nov 11, 2008 19:23

Even though today is a holiday for most students at the university, I woke up at about 7:30 a.m. to go to Meirin Elementary School, right around the corner from Kansai Gaidai. There were about 10 of us international kids, and 10 Japanese, and we were going to go speak to the first and second grade students there about our countries.

That many kids in one place is truly overwhelming. )

Ahah...Daruma-san ga Koronda...and the Handkerchief Game. Yeah...DSK is a fun game, I think...and it is basically red light/green light...can get annoying quickly.

The reason only boys play the Handkerchief Game is because it can be dangerous...at least, it was for me. When being chased by someone, I actually tripped, rolled, and had the back of my head slam against against the ground. Needless to say, when I opened my eyes and saw a bunch of Japanese girls and a few of my other friends circled around me...that was... <.<

In any case, it was dangerous for me. ^_^ However, I'm glad you had so much fun with those kids. I can't wait to go to Japan myself!
