After living on the ground for a day, it seems the baby bird, who I named Cory Matthews, has mastered the skill of hopping on the ground. Also, his "parents" are taking care of him. I put parents in " 's because it's not actually a blue jay... it's some brownish looking bird... which is weird. I watched them for awhile today and the "mother" bird ( Read more... )

Sooooo last week my dog, Zanzibar, ate a baby bird... Although at the time I wasn't quite sure what he ate since he pratically swallowed it whole. A couple of days later he tried to eat another one (I guess this is a bad year for baby birds??), and I prevented him from succeeding on that one.

The wedding yesterday was a lot of fun. Lots of food and people I actually know. Plus, 2 margaritas and 2 peach martinis helped when talking to the people I don't know. Something Sad: the plumbing sucks in my house so today Sarah and I went to the gym... just to shower.

My goal for the summer: Since tomorrow I have to work from 10-7, I've decided that for the rest of the summer I will get up at 7AM monday-friday in order to walk/feed my dog, work out at the gym, and then go to work. I wonder how long that will
