My condolences. She seems like a really neat lady.

Thank you. She was a very neat lady and had a full life, longer than most people have. What hurts the most is that I hadn't seen her in about three years and hadn't called her in almost two. She was almost completely deaf and it was very hard to speak to her on the phone. Not a very good excuse but it's all I got. : )

I am so sorry to hear, Luis. Of course I remember your stories about your Aunt from years ago (but you did not tell the one about the mayor, nor was there photos involved!)

I had not thought about that in many many years. I don't think I've ever told that story to Alisa even. I've been thinking about her a lot (obviously) and remembered that story as I started to write this post.

I'm sorry for your loss.
At the same time, I find this post heartwarming for the love between you two that it speaks of so clearly, and the respect and admiration you have for her. May she rest in peace knowing she was well loved and respected and will be remembered with love.

Thank you. Even though I am saddened by the loss I realize how blessed I was to have her in my life and what a good and long life she lead.
