I signed up to be a mentor to an international student and forgot about it until I just received this email saying that I'll get my assignment by the end of the month. I hope whoever I have to mentor is cool. I don't really know what I'm going to do with him/her, though.

I'm having surgery on one of my kidneys...it shouldnt be too serious, but I will still be laid up for a week or so.
