Three day weekend!!

Thats something positive. VERY up and down day. Saw my form, they are stil tres sweet. Had some drama's today. One girl, I think her name's Isabel, started crying because she had a headache and couldn't see properly. Then Gracie lost her purse... ^o

To be honest, I think it was Mrs Cowley's fault. Mrs Murray was talking about it with us, and said that she and other teachers were informed about it. Nobody has ever written lots in pen in their anthology, so I don't see why Mrs Cowley wouldn'y already know, anyway.

Also just to add - we didn't have any notes at all last year. I know it's nearly twice as many poems, including some we've done before. Mrs M was telling us there's no point in having loads as you end up copying out your anaylsis on the page instead of answering the question.

Ok, yes, I see where you're coming from but then again, you haven't written the notes in your book and got shit loads of revision now to catch up on in less than 3 weeks. I may be over reacting but Mrs Cowley knew how much we were writing and never said anything... so I don't really think she would just let us carry on.

I have now got to learn the peoms better than I thought I had done so, fine we didn't have notes last year, but at least we knew as we were going along we had to learn the poems well. This year our class haven't.

I don't really care if it was Mrs Cowley's fault, or Mrs Donald's. All I'm concerned about is how much work I now have extra. Sorry if I seem bitchy but it's not the best thing in the world to find out this 3 weeks before the exam.

Besides - since you've done the poems in class - youknow how to spot certain features - so you don't really need the notes.

We get to do a funky Welsh poet - Dannie Abse. I seriously recommend checking him out!
