I'm just curious how many people think motorcycles are very dangerous, please respond& tell me why. I'll explain later what this about but now I'm going to go nap
I think motorcycles are dangerous. Definitely. I was in the car with my dad the other day and we were sitting in traffic...waiting...and you know how motorcyclists just go zipping through between the cars? Well, one motorcyclist crashed right into our rear view mirror, the dipshit. I hate it when they do that. Everytime they go flying by my dad says "another organ donor." He's probably right. Plus, the amount of motorcycle accidents that are caused when the road is wet, cars too, but motorcycles is seems are even harder to control in that respect? I assume they are harder to stop suddenly and at fast speeds. Then, if you get into a crash or your bike falls over and you go sliding across the pavement you're going to get trashed. It's just you and the road...nothing else. Maybe there is just a strangely high motorcycle accident rate where I live...who knows.
My older brother has had a motorcycle since he was 16. Late last year his motorcycle ran into a truck and was totaled. He wasn't hurt bad but could have been. I know that motorcycles are harder to control than cars. Usually people who drive them are not afraid to take risks.
Just came back from a wedding where 90% of the guests were nurses/medics.EMTs, ect. and they all call motorcycles 'Donor-cycles', mainly because PA doesn't have helmet laws.
Personally, I believe yes there is a bigger risk when driving one but hell I'll probably still own one someday.
