I disagree. Unless you mean looking back and wondering how things could have been differently. Your current you is a logical representation of your past (I'm semi-quoting a comic here but it is true) so if you want to know more about Current You, that past will help a lot. Occurences, choices made, in the past that are currently regretted are painful to look back at indeed and, I think, especially if you're an idealist. Like me. Sucks being one cause things like "you can't change it now", "what's done is done" and other variations don't help a bit.

I don't know how far you don't want to look back but Matt 1/2/3/4/5 years ago is a different Matt then the one you see in the mirror today and occurences/decisions that took place 1/2/3/4/5 years ago were handled/made by a different Matt, so don't let Current Matt suffer the consequences of other people's actions too much.

I have no clue what I'm talking about. Keep that in mind at all times.

oh posh, it was a brillant statement. Ignoring the past is like ignoring key parts of what you have become and how you got there. Remember the past. Just don't let it draw you away from the present.
