Shattered - awards and (no) future

A few days ago, CKR officially confirmed in an interview that Shattered is done. :( On the upside, he was recently honored with both a Leo award and a Gemini award for his role of Ben Sullivan. Very much deserved! Congrats!

I'm glad he was honored, but I wish the show hadn't been canceled. I liked it and would've loved to see how Ben and his son would bond again after what happened.

It's so sad. I'd also have loved to see Ben reunite with Ella.

Not a surprise with Callum and Molly moving on to The Firm (which I now *have to* watch). But I'm glad we got at least one season to showcase his talent in a leading role.

Sadly, I don't think there's going to be much fanfic--especially without wider exposure. We don't know if there will ever be a DVD release, and it's not likely going to get aired in the US. I had hoped ION would consider it since they aired Durham County seasons 1/2 and will start Flashpoint in the fall. I may send them another email, but they're not going to jump at the chance to pick up a single-season, low-rated show.
