Beta-reader sign-ups

Aug 26, 2012 21:58

Since all the stories submitted for the challenge must be beta read, we're looking for people who are willing to lend a helping hand with that! You don't have to participate as a writer to sign up as a beta-reader.

If you want to sign up as a beta-reader, please fill out this form in the comments:

What do you focus on as a beta-reader? grammar, clarity, flow
Is there anything you're not willing to beta read? Pairings, characters, genres, ratings, themes? No, I'm fine with anything
What do you prefer to beta? Whatever stories need it
How many stories are you ready to work on? Two or Three
Additional information: I've betaed for a couple of writers on here and enjoyed helping them out.

Hi, I know it's late, but I was hoping that you could help me by Beta-ing my story. I had another beta, but she kept post poning when she could do it for me and now she wont get back to me at all. I am already past my posting date, so I am scrambling.

Thank you. And thanks again for the wonderful story you wrote for me!

What do you focus on as a beta-reader? I'm not a native speaker. That said, I have been learning/using English for 14 years. There'll be grammar stuff I'll miss, I can't promise there won't. Characters/scenes/the writing/how it all works together/what makes sense/what doesn't, that's something I enjoy working with/thinking about.
Is there anything you're not willing to beta read? Pairings, characters, genres, ratings, themes? I'm feeling open minded at the moment.
What do you prefer to beta? Not sure if I would be good with anything with a lot of plot?
How many stories are you ready to work on? Three, four.
Additional information: Can't really say much. I helped some (two?) authors with some of their fic here on LJ. They're clearly insane so they don't complain <3
